
Dragos Munteanu is the Safety and Quality Manager of TAROM Romanian Air Transport.
He graduated Valedictorian in 2001 from the Aerospace Engineering Faculty of the Bucharest Politechnics as an aviation avionics engineer. He pursued a Master in the Air Transport industry at the same faculty.
Dragos is pursuing an MSc in Air Safety Management with City University of London and a PHD in Aerospace Engineering with the Aerospace Engineering Faculty of the Bucharest Politechnics.
Dragos holds a Diploma in Safety Management Systems for Airlines from IATA.
He has worked with the Romanian Ministry of Transports and for several years as an operations inspector with the Romanian CAA. He was seconded for a year at the Eurocontrol Maastricht UAC where he acted as project manager. He was the Quality Manager of the first Romanian low fares airline – Blue Air and moved to TAROM in 2006 as Safety and Quality Manager. In this position with TAROM he is responsible for the implementation of various integrated management systems such as crisis management, quality system, safety management system, security management system, environment management system and inflight quality system.
